A very rare piece, I have never seen another like it, the hand carving was clearly executed by a master craftsman. The whole mirror is made out of walnut, the main body has some stunning panels which really show off the grain, the mirror retains its original slatted back panels as well
The plate is the original glass, it has a nice hew to it which leads me to believe it could be mercury plate however I cannot say for sure, there will be very light foxing due to the age
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will go good honest patina marks all over from honest age and genuine use.
