Grand Louis XVI Style Segmented Giltwood Mirror
About the Item
A Louis XVI style gilt wood mirror with a 1" lavishly beveled center mirror having a raised beaded trim. The center mirror surrounded by four angled mirror panels with carved corner motifs and having a stylized and detailed egg and dart border. The mirror is crested with repousse scrollwork, plume, acanthus leaves and floral sprigs. Birds rest upon acanthus leaves with dangling bell flowers to the corners.
Dimensions: 43 1/2" W, 68" H, 3 1/2" D
Condition: Various signs of age include old repairs (top frame) restorations, nicks, chips, stable age cracks, losses that do not detract from the overall presentation. Please see photos for details of condition.
