Pair of Italian 19th Century Renaissance St. Napoleon III Period Mirrors
About the Item
A stunning and extremely unique pair of Italian 19th century Renaissance st. Napoleon III period ebonized fruitwood, ormolu and marble inlaid mirrors. Each octagonal mirror retains its original mirror plate set within a most elegant mottled octagonal band. The frames display a stunning wrap around ormolu band with beautiful and most charming scrolled foliate designs framed within a fine hammered pattern. The frames also display striking inlaid marble reserves and superb pierced scrolled foliate mounts with maiden faces. Impressive pierced scrolled foliate designs extend outwards with additional charming and richly chased maiden faces.
