A large model of a TSR2 fighter plane designed by British Aircraft Corporation 1958 -1964. A rare example of a TSR2 was developed between the late 1950s to 1964 for the Royal Airforce. The body is Aluminium which has been silver plated but still shows traces of original condition with slight pitting to leading surface. About the aircraft; It was designed to penetrate a well defended forward battle area and then attack high value targets in the rear with nuclear or conventional weapons. There were only 3 ever built by BAC at a development cost of £22 million pounds and this proved a bridge too far with a new labour government and it led to controversial decision to scrap the program in 1965.
