A young man falls in love with a mysterious French aristocrat, Aurelie on a trip for New York to Algiers. But is she interested in his attentions or using him as a decoy to get her hands on Earl Tinker’s money? Booth Tarkington (1869-1946) was an American novelist and dramatist. He is one of the three novelists to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction more than once.
