About the Item

Extraordinary original dockyard builders model of the royal yacht squadron vessel RYS CETO, a 130 ton diesel yacht owned by the Earl Fitzwilliam. Built in 1935 by Vosper. RYS CETO served in the royal navy during World War II. This model is exceptional. Built to a very large scale, possibly by Basset Lowke. Details include two launches that are fine models in their own right. The model has hundreds of brass fittings including binnacle, telegraph, helm, ventilator funnels, LA doors, doors, search light, horn, skylights, portholes, winch, anchors, davits, etc. Mounted to a beautiful mahogany base.
