About the Item

These gorgeous Art Deco Style 'Swallow' Bookends by the esteemed Art Glass Company 'Lalique' originate from France during the latter half of the 20th Century. Featuring truly elegant stability and beautiful design throughout, the Swallow Bookends are made in Molded and Frosted Glass with Moments of polished translucent glass on the surface and adding dynamic yet subtle material variation. The swallows tilt downwards with their tail feathers on full display as if in the midst of landing or taking a drink, graceful and rendered in gorgeous sculptural elements overlapping denoting the folds and interlaced feathers of the wings. With an etched signature on the edge of the base denoting the maker. These beautiful bookends will style well in a wide array of interiors and movements, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary design. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
