About the Item
Modern blue vintage coat rack model Dilemma by Giancarlo Piretti and produced by Castilia, Castel S. Pietro (Bo), Italy 1984.
This amazing object features a coat rack and a ladder in one piece and could easily be transformed into a five steps ladder, also for hanging up clothes.
The steps made from cast aluminum show stable condition.
As you take the coat rack from the base, the rack folds out to a ladder, after using the ladder easy to handle the re fold and return into the base.
Gorgeous and bold design piece from the 1980s.
Gian Carlo Piretti ( 1940 ) has designed many gorgeous design pieces as Plia chairs,
Platone desks, Planta coat racks or Plurium umbrella stands and many many more.
He won many awards like Compasso d´Oro and Gold Award.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
