About the Item
Place your Bible on this elegant antique book stand. Crafted in Italy circa 1780, the lectern sits on scrolled back legs over a scalloped apron decorated with a flower at the base. The stand features hand carved motifs throughout, including floral rosette medallions in each corner and leaf decor on the sides. The bookstand is further decorated with a carved foliage motif at the pediment. The Baroque music stand is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original two-tone polychromed and silver leaf patinated finish throughout. (Some paint chips here and there) . The Bible stand could also be used as a vanity in a master bath, only adding a small mirror on the facade.
