Victorian Brass Stick or Umbrella Stand, English circa 1880

About the Item

This is a good quality Victorian brass walking stick or umbrella stand, dating to the late 19th Century. It is a charming piece of a semicircular design, ideal for the hall. The stand has a brass tubular top divided into 5 sections, supported by three corner brass rods topped with finials. The rods fit into a non ferrous metal tray base which is black painted and also acts as a drip tray.

    Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Tray base possibly re-painted. Some slight flattening to the front edge of the top tube where it is curved- this is probably due to the bending of the tube from the time of making.
