Antique Victorian paisley shawl - museum quality - fine jacquard weave pattern featuring 'boteh' and palms set against a beige center - color banded border with fringe - self woven edges on the other sides - 100% wool - unsigned - circa 1850's. Excellent antique condition - a few minor holes along the edges (see photographs) - a couple of minor holes and stains within the body of the shawl - soiling from age and use to the center (most apparent from the back - see photos) - no apparent repairs or restoration. Size/Dimensions - Medium - 69" (178 cm.) x 76" (193 cm.) Including Fringe.
