Spanish or Italian Dating from circa 1680
The embroidery worked in Silver metal threads featuring Cherubs and Latin Inscriptions
17th Century Hand made lace borders
Silk velvets of Magenta Red and Burnt Umber
Backed with later peach silk satin
Evocative Antique , time worn . With a faded grandeur that can only be achieved over centuries of age
This evocative ancient work of art is approx 400 years old and of course
shows signs of wear commensurate with this immense age
