About the Item
A fine Moghan runner, South Caucasus. The ivory field with two columns of multicolored hooked and stepped medallions divided by checkered lozenges and small hooked motifs. In rust rosette border between the arrowhead and barber-pole stripes.Good type and nice bold design with well-balanced colors. This runner has slightly corroded black otherwise pile is good, soft wool quality. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition. Great furnishing piece. Popular and sought-after type. The measurement of this rug is 347 × 104 cm (11' 4" × 3' 4").

In circa 1179 a young man who would grow up to be Cinggis Qahan (Ghengis Khan) was aided by the son of the Chieftain of the Arulat clan. The young man was Bo'orcu. He became one of Cinggis Qahan's Dorben Kulu'ud (Great Warriors).
