About the Item
Antique Tekke Turkmen torba of very fine weave with turreted gul design.
A good Tekke torba with excellent colour and good wool. The torba has survived very well with most of the original long tassels still intact. The torba has three turreted guls surrounded by multiple borders. The remains of the original hanging cords are still attached to each side. These torba were used to decorate the side of a camel during a Turkmen wedding procession.
The torba is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile.
Hand washed and ready for display.
