About the Item

A particular type of carpet made in Tibet with the typical technique: the Tibetan knot has a completely different structure compared to the other knots. The knot is in fact placed by placing a temporary shaft in front of the warp along the whole width of the rug. The knotter concludes the whole row, cuts the eyelets around the rod to get the knot these carpets with a particular shape were made as horse covers, decorated with these refined artifacts for special ceremonies. Merged with a piece of fabric or leather, the four symmetrical holes, bordered with leather that served to block the carpet over the saddle, are characteristic of this saddle, which is more influenced by the Chinese influence in the Tibetan world. white-blue of the Tang and Song dynasties, decorated with fruit flowers and a Greek one that surrounds the whole carpet.
