Hand-knotted in wool and originating from Egypt, this 12x19 contemporary rug from Rug & Kilim's Modern Classics Collection is inspired by antique Persian rugs of Sultanabad provenance—some of the most sought-after in Oriental rugs since the 1800s.

One fundamental idea that our Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. One such masterpiece is this featured modern rug inspired by the antique Persian rugs of Sultanabad provenance. Connoisseurs may admire this piece with a rich red border enclosing a field of teal green, both underscoring floral patterns in the all over style.
