About the Item

An authentic old Berber rug from the Middle Atlas Mountains, home of the Beni Mguild tribal confederacy, who are known to weave the best quality wool carpets of Morocco. Characterized by an all-over pattern of diamonds, the red offers a perfect contrast to the rich indigo blue of the background. A truly genuine, high quality Berber rug that I wholeheartedly recommend.

20968, vintage Indigo Beni M'Guild rug, Berber blue Moroccan carpet. Featuring a luminous sapphire glow and luxury underfoot, this hand knotted wool vintage indigo blue Moroccan Beni M'Guild rug astounds with its beauty. It features a bold geometric design composed of an all-over diamond lattice pattern. This vintage Moroccan rug is heavily ornamented with diamond shapes, which symbolizes femininity and womanhood. It is enclosed with a quincunx border flanked with inner and outer thin bands.
