About the Item
Bold design yet soft subdued colors in phenomenal shades. Oversized center medallion with sharp serrated contours atop an additional concentric medallion in partial scalloped relief. All framed on a covered field with main field book cover overlay. Full design in a Herati Tabriz design in alternating and inverted ground coloration. Colors and shades include: Ivory, pale terracotta, pale copper, sky blue, indigo blue, powder blue, antique ivory, cinnabar red, pale emerald green and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Bulgarian Herati design carpet made in Bulgaria circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 9'10" x 13'9".
