4x5.8 ft Unique Vintage Handmade Anatolian Tulu Wool Rug with Archway Design

About the Item

An unusual one of a kind hand-knotted "Tulu" rug from Central Anatolia, Turkey with a prayer/niche or so called archway design. Colors: Red, green cream, violet blue, light brown and a touch of peach These charming small rugs with lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in Konya, Central Anatolia until 1970s. Today they are considered collectible items as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art. Measures: 4 x 5.8 ft.
