A beautiful all-silk Turkish Kayseri pictorial rug in a "Tree of Life" design from the 4th quarter of the 1900s. The Turkish Silk Rugs are renowned for their beautiful design and the use of fine weaving techniques and high knot count. The “prayer design” pictorial rug of the tree with various birds around it is set on a wheat color field with the bird designs in blue, red, and pink. It has a border in red with floral designs. A wonderful piece of fine handwoven art to be displayed on the wall and appreciated for generations to come.
