About the Item
This vintage 5x7 rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.
Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, its design marks a mid-century take on Art Deco rugs in bold modern fashion. Its vibrant polychromatic colorway favors teal, orange, gold and mauve hues with a gorgeous sense of movement. Such a play of dimensionality, unusual colors exemplifies Müren’s unique mid-century works that were so ahead of their time.
