About the Item

This is a spectacular Set of Ten Prague Chairs, Model No.311, initially designed by Austrian designers Josef Frank and Josef Hoffman for Thonet in the 1920's. This set dates to the 1980s. The chairs feature beechwood frames, and retain their original hand-caned Vienna Braid seats and backs. There are Stendig stickers that remain affixed on the frames underneath the seats. Each chair measures 22.5 inches deep, 20.5 inches wide, and 32 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.75 inches and an arm height of 27.75 inches. On two examples there is some discoloration to the wood, and one chair has some loose caning. There are some scuffs and scrapes on the frames, especially near the feet. Overall, this set is in very good condition. Please see photos.
