Antique 19th Century Armchair Attributed to Horrix with Victor & Rolf Upholstery

About the Item

Armchair hand carved and ebonised is made in walnut. The frame with details refined inlay patterns in nut wood and boxwood is attributed to Matthijs Horrix, The Hague 1870-1875. The exceptionally decorative woodwork is in very good condition with signs of its age. The chair is reupholstered in damask designed by Victor & Rolf, most celebrated Dutch fashion designers and produced in the Netherlands Textile Museum. It is a very comfortable chair for reading conversing or relaxing.
