Four Bernd Makulik Velvet & Black Lacquer Italian Armchairs
About the Item
Charles Stendig, a contemporary and competitor of Knoll International, began his career in the 1960s as an importer of fine furniture from Europe. In 1966 Stendig commissioned Massimo Vignelli’s now iconic calendar that is still in production today. Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe, Robert Haussman, and Marcel Breuer have also created work for Stendig. Through out the company's 20 year history, Stendig imported designs from Italy, and also from Findland, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.
