Jens Risom C180 Walnut and Upholstered Armchairs

About the Item

An excellent pair of Jens Risom designed C180 upholstered and walnut armchairs. Also know as 1109 after 1961. Risom was an instrumental part of revolutionizing the look of American living rooms and corporate offices. He paid homage to the beauty of wood, craftsmanship and comfort. The design of this pair of armchairs exemplifies attention to simple detail with the slight tilt of the base and seat and the extended tapered spire like rear legs. The pair of chairs is an excellent addition to an open floor plan design, so they can also be be viewed in the round. Solid walnut frame construction with newly upholstered back, arms and seat. New foam cushions. The highly textured fabric is soft and durable in light gray, light blue and black. Circa 1957-60. Good overall condition. Structurally sound and sturdy. New upholstery fabric and cushions. Measures: Approximately 27" deep x 25.25" wide x 34.5". Seat height is approximately 19" and the arm height is approximately 23.5".
