About the Item
A fabulous and comfortable set of Guglielmo armchairs! Truly for the collector who enjoys these rare finds in furniture. They are being sold as a pair but one had the rush re-done at some point so they are not a perfect match in that respect but this is not a very noticeable detail. They also have not been re-finished so the surface of the wood has wear to them and should be carefully looked at. We have not refinished them because some collectors like them in this condition. We are open to refinishing them as well and one could choose their stain color with us in doing so. Considered one of Italy’s leading mid-century modernists, Guglielmo’s innovative furniture designs were praised around the world. Our featured armchairs by Italian designer Pecorini Guglielmo, who was recognized for his contributions to mid-century modern furniture design, display the designers distinctive style. Pecorini’s hallmark was to use a combination of materials such as wood, metal, fabric, twine, and rubber, showcasing a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Guglielmo Pecorini
Guglielmo Pecorini, known for carved wood accessories shaped like fruit or nuts as well as furniture designs, was highly regarded in his day, and his small body of artisanal work turns up at major auctions such as Wright today. He is pictured at work in his small atelier in Italy at Work (1955) and his chairs are shown along with Craft productions by peers such as Carlo Mollino, Fontana Arte, Azucena, Cesare Lacca and casa e Giardino.
