A pair of late Gustavian open-armchairs by E. Öhrmark (master in Stockholm 1777-1813). This exceptional pair of Gustavian open armchairs, crafted by the distinguished Swedish artisan E. Ohrmark, embodies the timeless elegance and restrained beauty characteristic of the Gustavian style. Known for his skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail, Ohrmark's chairs reflect the neoclassical influences that shaped Swedish furniture in the late 18th century, merging classical forms with the refined simplicity of Swedish design. With their understated yet distinct design, this pair of Gustavian armchairs by E. Each with a curved padded back above a Vitruvian scroll frieze on sabre legs. Both marked with the label of Stockholms stolmakarämbete (the Guild of Chairmaker's). One signed EÖM.
