Striking pair of antique French Louis XIV style, walnut wingback fauteuils with carved armrests, standing on 'os de mouton' legs joined by H-shaped stretcher base, upholstered with a tapestry like fabric with nailhead trim, nailhead trim.
These fauteuils have been made by an artisan of the V&A Museum in London in the 1980s.
Beautiful, detailed craftsmanship, exquisite wood work and tapestry style fabric in a very good condition,
The chairs are in very good condition, sturdy and comfortable.
Purchased in London in the 1980s for 5,400 GBP.
