About the Item

For your consideration is this rare pair of armchairs model 1516 by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates. Each beautifully constructed chair is of exceptionally high quality and features a solid wood frame with an ebonized finish and black leather upholstered seat. The backrest has an elegant curve and a grid of square openings reminiscent of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The arms, with a height of 24.25 inches, have a grid of four larger square openings along the sides, each square is equal in size to a grid of four squares on the backrest. The wood has nice grain that catches the light and adds visual depth to the surface.
