Triënnale Lounge Chair by Franco Albini, 1933

Tubular lounge chair designed by Franco Albini for the Triennale in Milan in 1933. The original black enameled frame emphasizes the graphic qualities of this design. The natural leather seat and back are still in nice, fully functional, vintage condition. Literature; Stuhle aus stahl, metalmöbel 1925-1940, page 59. Franco Albini (1905-1977) was an influential Italian architect, designer, and urban planner known for his pioneering modernist approach. His work bridged the gap between tradition and innovation, emphasizing functionality, simplicity, and the use of natural materials. Albini's iconic furniture designs showcased his mastery of form and space, with pieces like the "Albini Desk" and "Margherita Chair" becoming design classics.
