About the Item
19th century hand carved oak bench from England. The back of the bench is wonderfully hand-carved and has lovely hand turned spindles in the upper back, for a lighter look against a wall. Beneath the spindles are four hand-carved decorated panels with charming floral decoration.
The seat is made from a single plank, and the arms have a comfortable curve to them, and are resting upon hand turned supports.
The bench is supported on simple splayed legs in the back for stability and hand turned legs in the front.
This is a lovely and small bench which will add a nice dimension anywhere it is placed in your home or office.
