Description:
A richly detailed pair of Louis XIV-style stools by esteemed Los Angeles-based atelier Formations, known for producing historically inspired furnishings of exceptional craftsmanship. Each stool features boldly turned walnut legs joined by shaped X-form stretchers and finished in a hand-applied, distressed patina that evokes the timeless elegance of 18th-century French seating.
The plush upholstered seats are covered in a striking striped velvet with richly saturated hues of olive green, garnet red, ochre yellow, goldenrod, antique blue, and umber, arranged in alternating bands with Greek key and tribal-inspired woven motifs. The seat is finished with a tailored olive green cotton gimp trim, bordered by brass nailhead tacks, adding texture and refined visual contrast to the aged walnut frame.
