English Regency Bergere Chair Painted Ebonized Wood and Cane

About the Item

Exquisite 19th century ebonized wooden bergère armchair with caned back, bottom and sides. It is difficult to photograph all the details so please view all of the images. The original painting is incredible and features colorful, delicate flowers that include roses, morning glories, hydrangea, lily of the valley, tulips, and daisies decorating the arms and back. Further embellishments encompass urns on the legs with bell flower designs and musical instruments on the bottom front. Brass castors. The newly replaced down cushion is covered in rosemary silk Scalamandre damask. Ample size, very sturdy. Seat height 17.50 inches includes cushion. See other measurements below.
