A fine set of eight fruitwood chairs, late 19th century, in the Louis XIV style. Lovely set with striking form and turnings Very unusual to have four armchairs in a set Also unusual to be made from fruitwood Robust, sturdy and suitable for everyday use Just purchased, the set including four armchairs with scroll arms, all on baluster-and-block legs united by similarly turned stretchers. The modern cotton stripe upholstery with a cream ground and seven different earth tones.
