Carved Oak William IV Pierced And Carved Gothic Hall Chair
About the Item
A rare Carved Oak side chair in the Gothic style dating to 1830-1837 in original condition. The Chair in an overall fine and worn age patina with Classic Gothic Arch back pierced with a large Clover form and having carved and Stylized Florets. The angled seat with Archingfront apron over fluted tapering legs with flaring studded ball and bun accents.
The Chair measures 38.5” high by 16.75” wide by 16” deep. Seat height is 17.5”.
Condition: As stated, the Chair in original condition with a timeworn and desirable age patina, stable age crack to the seat and some losses to the studs on the leg balls which do not detract from the authentic and stylish Gothic presentation.
