About the Item

A nice late 19th / early 20th century gilt bronze mounted empire style three piece parlor set. Comprising of a settee and a pair of armchairs. The rectangular backs leading to wavy arms, each supported by gilt bronze female sphinx with spread wings. The legs with additional gilt bronze decorations and leading down to lion claw feet. Settee Height – 40.5 inches / 103cm Width – 55 inches / 140cm Depth – 24 inches / 61cm Arm chair Height – 36 inches / 91cm Width – 23 inches / 58cm Depth – 23 inches / 58cm.
