Folk Art Primitive Sculptural Log Chair
About the Item
Folk Art, Primitive sculptural log chair. Carved from a single wood log, with hand tools and with a particular orientation, dimensionality and wonderful hand-feel. Created after the tradition of Scandinavian kubbestol chairs, which are traditional chairs made from logs.
Every knot, crack, and sign of wear adds to the intriguing appeal of this hand-hewn stool. We love the stance and sculptural feel of the chair. It will make a statement when used in a spare space, and will meld beautiful with pieces of a wide variety of styles.
When used as an occasional chair, it allows for a comfortable place to pull on a pair of shoes or drop a handbag upon returning home from an evening out. It would also make an intriguing side table in lieu of a nightstand.
