Italian mid-century modern DSC chairs Giancarlo Piretti Anonima Castelli,
1970s DSC model chairs with rounded rectangular seat and back, upholstered in dark wood . The sturdy structure is aluminum with round section legs covered in gray plastic.
The chairs can be stacked. Produced by Anonima Castelli and designed by Giancarlo Piretti in 1970.
Present the brand "DSC Castelli Italy" imprinted on the structure. Good condition, with a mark on one of the seats. Signs of time on aluminum and on the legs.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.

Designed in 1965 by Giancarlo Piretti, the DSC-106 stacking chair is one of the most famous chairs Castelli ever made. It has become an integral part of design history and features in many museum collections all over the world. A timeless classic in every sense of the word.
Manufactured in 1991, the listed set is in a lovely pre-owned condition, retaining al its Castelli stamps and labels. The claret upholstery is spotless and fresh and wear is consistent with age and use. If you are looking for Castelli DSC-106’s — I’m your man. I can get a hold of large quantities and can always pick the best ones. Feel free to contact me. Can also re-upholster in any colour at your discretion.
