About the Item
A set of 2 original Gispen 411 armchairs. These pre war chairs were only produced between 1930 and 1940 and are therefore increasingly rare. They have a strong and heavy chrome frame, Bakelite armrests and probably original webbing and upholstery.
Model 411 distinguishes itself from the men's models 401 and 407 by its small size and less pompous appearance. After the war, this armchair was no longer manufactured.
They have signs of wear consistent with age. The yellow chair is missing a 1 curved transverse bar under the seat, but both chairs are still very comfortable to sit on!
The chairs shows some traces of use consistent with age. Like some tiny white spots and some rusty spots on the fabric strips where they touch the tubes. Some small stitches are missing or have some tiny spots on the base. The strips are still tight. The yellow chair is missing 1 curved transverse bar under the seat, but both chairs are still very strong and comfortable to sit on!
