Set of 6 Italian Mid 20th Century Lacquered Chairs in Chinese Chippendale Style
About the Item
A truly unique set of chairs, made in Italy between the 50s and 60s but with a Chinese Chippendale style decoration.
The set is composed of 6 very light chairs, in curved and carved solid wood, lacquered in black.
The design of these vintage chairs recalls the items produced of the historic Italian company which takes its name from its founder: Vittorio Dassi
The feet are embellished with bronzed brass friezes embossed with leaves but what makes them truly unique is the oriental-style decoration carved in the center of the curved backrest which almost resembles flames.
This Mid-20 Century Set of Chairs is in original and good vintage condition, there are minimal signs of use and age visible in the video.
The upholstery was recently replaced by a professional using a lime yellow velvet.
