About the Item
This rare set of six dining chairs was designed by the Danish designers Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl. The chairs were produced by the French manufacturer Ebénisterie Seltz for only a short period of time in the 1980s. This particular model was numbered FCH 1A and it was made of solid beech wood with details in darker stained elm wood. The dynamic, diagonal lines of the base give the chairs a sculptural and attractive appearance. The triangular shape of the backrest is repeated in the decorative top detail in elm
