About the Item

The chair offered here was crafted by master furniture maker Piet Rombouts around 1950. The chair was made from the finest quarter-sawn summer oak available. The wood is very stable and features a beautiful grain pattern with natural appearance. The chair was richly adorned with convex and concave forms and a sculpted seat that offers surprisingly good comfort. The oak wood was bleached and has a beautiful natural light grayed color. The chair is a testament to the skill of master furniture maker Piet Rombouts from Veldhoven in the Netherlands. He started his business, Piet Rombouts Artisanal Craft and Antiques, in the second half of the 20th century, laying the foundation for our current company. Many of the pieces he made have stood the test of time. The chair is in excellent condition, sturdy, comfortable, and ready for use.
