About the Item
Louis XV style daybed lavishly upholstered with gold damask fabric with gimp and tassels. The head and footboard with scrolling top-rail carved with sweeping acanthus leaves. The sides are padded and scrolling. The seat rail rests upon 4 short scrolled cabriole legs with cartouche carvings. The day bed also is supported by the addition of rectangular center supports.
The bed is accompanied by 2 bolster pillows, (2) matching 19" pillows, 1 rectangular sage needlepoint 20" x 24", 22" sq with solid gold back, needlepoint with sage trim, 20" sq.
Dimensions: 84 3/4" L, 41" D, 23 1/2" seat height, 38 3/4" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. The wood is intentionally distressed however there are minor timeworn losses. Various assigns of age include the bottom of daybed has been restored with additional stability all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is exceptional.
