Rare Mid Century Dutch Design Daybed by A.R. Cordemeyer, 1950's

About the Item

Dick Cordemeyer was probably inspired by Jacques Hitier and Mathieu Mategot. The design is genius because there is no screw involved, the spiral fits into the legs by clamping. Manufactured by Kupers in Almelo, 1950s. This beds are hard to find! The frame is original made of tubular steel and you see some signs of wear but seen its age its in a very nice condition. The mattress is covered with a beautiful royal blue velour upholstery and there is a roll. Measures: 195 x 95 x 48 seat height 44 cm Mattress 190 x 89 x 12 cm Roll 18 x 85 cm.
