Kai Kristiansen - Model 42 Dining Chairs, 1956. A set of 8 dining chairs produced by Schou Andersen for the Illum Bolighus department store in Copenhagen. The frames are made from the highest quality rosewood and have been professionally restored at our workshops in London. The seats and backs have been reupholstered in luxurious 'Arsene' woven fabric by Pierre Frey. This design features a tilting, padded back piece for added comfort. The Model 42 is Kristiansen's best known design and for good reason. It remains one of the most iconic and successful dining chairs from the mid-20th century in period. *larger sets and different upholstery options available by request.
