About the Item
A stylish and extremely well made set of eight Danish vintage teak dining chairs by Johannes Norgaard for Norgaards Mobelfabrik. They were made in Denmark, they date from the 1960’s.
The quality is superb, they are beautifully crafted from solid teak and they have a great looking design. They are sturdy, supportive and comfortable, they look amazing from all angles. The set comes with six straight side chairs and two of the less commonly seen carver armchairs.
The condition is excellent for their age, we have had the frames cleaned and oiled, there is no damage and only some extremely minor surface wear here and there. The cream wool upholstery is also in really good condition, it has a little wear and two of the seats have some tiny and faint spots on them, seen in the images. They are generally very presentable so we have left them as is, re-upholstery would be easy as they are drop in seats that lift in and out.

A stylish and extremely well made set of eight Danish vintage teak dining chairs by Johannes Andersen, dating from the 1960’s.
They are of outstanding quality with a gorgeous design, they are very comfortable and supportive. They have a beautiful and sculptural design, the curved back rests sweep down into the sides of the seats, they stand on beautifully tapered legs.
We have had the solid teak frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout. The black vinyl seats are in superb condition, they appear to have been upholstered at different times as four are slightly more matt in finish, while four have more of a shine.
