About

These Pierre Jeanneret library chairs (model PJ-SI-51-A) were originally designed for the University of Punjab's central library in Chandigarh in 1959. The frames are solid teak with braided cane-work seats. Although designed as library chairs, these are suitable for dining use.
Two of the six are hand-painted to reverse to indicate place designation within the school: [P.Sc./29 C.R.] and [P.U.L. 316].
Seat height without the cushion: 17" with: 18".
