This is an antique bergère sofa suite. An English, walnut 3-seat settee and pair of armchairs, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Wonderfully presented antique suite with quality finish and appearance Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout Stout walnut frame shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues Bergère seat backs and side panels in very good, taut condition Traditionally feather stuffed, the plump, comfortable cushions a joy to relax in With broad, bergère finished arms, the armchair is generously sized with a long thigh profile Similarly profiled, the sofa accommodates three in generous comfort Shaped top rails accentuated with demi-lune foliate carved relief panels Tasteful silk cotton upholstery with embroidered foliate pattern in pleasing golden yellow hues Foliate relief further decorating the lower front aprons across the sofa and each chair Raised upon short cabriole front legs with rose carved knees, gently splayed legs to rear This is a quality, attractive antique bergère sofa suite, with generously sized 3-seat setter and two accommodating armchairs. Ideal for the lounge or conservatory. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
