About the Item

Pair of vintage Lolling chairs featuring a luxurious deep button-tufted leather upholstery in a rich chestnut hue with hints of red and gold and accentuated with brass tacks. The solid mahogany frame with a curved design and deep scrolled arms, turned stretchers at front and back. Compatible pair with slight differences in stretchers and size. Dimensions: Chair #1 - 21 7/8" W, 36" D, 14.5" seat height, 38" H, 23" to top of arm Chair #1 - 22 75 W, 39.75" D, 15" seat height, 35.5" H and 24.75" to top of arm. Condition: Please see detail photos for condition. Various signs of age include a stable age crack to the swirl of one arm, nicks, some scratches and wear to the wood frames and a few minor rubbings to the leather upholstery. One noticeably more faded than the other but does not detract from the particularly elegant presentation.

Each with a beautiful hand carved cresting rail, the backs, seats and arms upholstered in sumptuous leather, the arms on spindle supports and on turned front legs terminating in the original brass castors.
