About the Item

This large, chunky barrel chair was designed by Edward Wormley and manufactured by Dunbar in the late 1940s. The plump rounded body sits on a round walnut plinth base which also features hidden casters. A soft, curvaceous silhouette, ultra deep seating, and a thick feather down cushion provide boundless comfort and really allow you to ball up inside of the chair. The chair features brand new textured ivory upholstery. The reddish walnut base has been lovingly refinished and contrasts beautifully against the fabric. The brand new, thick, 100% feather down seat cushion sets this chair apart from others on the market and gives the chair a much more organic feel.
